How to Roll a Towel
Rolling towels is a great way to save space and create a neat and tidy look in your bathroom, closet or suitcase. There are different ways to roll towels depending on the size, shape and purpose of the towel. Here are some simple methods to roll towels for storage or display.
Method 1: Basic Roll
This method works well for any type of towel, especially large ones like bath sheets or beach towels. It is also easy and quick to do.
- Lay the towel flat on a smooth surface.
- Fold the towel in half widthwise, bringing the short edges together.
- Start from one end and roll the towel tightly towards the other end.
- Place the rolled towel on a shelf, in a basket or in a drawer with the seam facing down.
Method 2: Triangle Roll
This method is more secure and decorative than the basic roll. It works best for medium-sized towels like bath towels or hand towels. It also creates a pointed end that can be tucked into a flap for extra stability.
- Lay the towel flat on a smooth surface.
- Fold the towel in half widthwise, bringing the short edges together.
- Grab one of the corners and bring it across the towel to create a triangle.
- Fold the opposite corner over the triangle to make a smaller triangle.
- Start from the base of the triangle and roll the towel tightly towards the pointed end.
- Tuck the pointed end into the flap created by the fold or leave it out for a more casual look.
- Place the rolled towel on a shelf, in a basket or in a drawer with the seam facing down.
Method 3: Spa Roll
This method is similar to the triangle roll, but it creates a more elegant and luxurious look. It works best for small towels like washcloths or face towels. It is also ideal for displaying towels on a vanity or a tray.
- Lay the towel flat on a smooth surface.
- Fold one corner of the towel to the centre lengthwise.
- Fold the opposite corner over the first fold to make a long rectangle.
- Fold the towel in half lengthwise and then flip it over.
- Roll the towel tightly towards the pointed end and tuck in the flap.
- Place the rolled towel in an attractive basket or a large decorative bowl.
